Musicians in Lock-Down

In times of stress, music affords
Balm to lonely souls indoors
First come cassettes, tapes and CDs
As performances are now on freeze.

Or via an App on your Smart phone
Music can be streamed at home
You listen to a favourite track
And mellowed out, drink and sit back ...

But nothing beats a concert live
When musicians in the flesh arrive;
The anticipation, the lights dim
As then the magic can begin...

Be it orchestra with wind and brass
Guitarist whose skill is first class
Or well known pop star with a band:
Music in the round is grand!

In lock-down - concerts are on hold
No festivals, no tickets sold
With the eager public kept at bay:
Musicians go on line to play!
