The Power of Music

Silence is golden - so they say
But music brings thoughts into play
Wakes memories of long ago
And captures feelings in free flow.

People long dead come alive
Childhood friendships newly thrive
Sixties pop charts make one dance
And a dreary day enhance.

A whirlwind of emotion stirs
We re-live carefree teenage years
And light that spark we had forgot
The beat goes on until we drop!
