Have propelled it to a headline first
A wildfire fanned by deadly gusts
Reduces oil-sand town to dust!
Blocked roads as all are told to flee
Fire trucks and helicopters see
Plumes of smoke and reddish glow
Woe betide those left below.
Fort McMurray was unknown
Now towering inferno all alone
Dramatic upheaval – small town lives
Shattered in this May sunrise!
