Life's a puzzle full of pieces;
How it all fits never ceases
To activate our inner brain
As patterns rarely stay the same.
This jigsaw, multi-coloured, neat
Appears at first sight quite complete
Here Thomas, deep in thought, admires
His handiwork; he never tires
Of gazing down in concentration
On the engine and the station.
His love of trains in every form
A clear motif since he was born.
A simple jigsaw, fast to solve
But soon young Thomas will evolve
As birth is like a jigsaw box
Whose pile of pieces interlocks...
The family forms our cornerstone
The centre section all our own
We mix and match, discard and play
Life's pieces as they come our way.
But Thomas knows no metaphor
He's just achieved a perfect score
How proud he is - he's done it right
So let us share in his delight!
