Helmeted Winter Bunnies

When the family lives a world away,
Midnight for us is their broad day
We hurtle into summer sun
While winter has them on the run ...

See how my wee two cherubs glow
Wrapped up warm, zipped head to toe ...
But what is this strange thing I see?
A dinosaur stares hard at me!

Snazzy helmets tough and bold!
Will these protect them from the cold?
They seem unfazed; do they go out
And cycle when the stars are out?

At six, and two years-and-a-bit,
Thomas and Isabella hit
That deep warm spot in Auntie's heart
And banish gloom with their bright spark!
