Ideas for poems quickly grow;
As each day I cannot know
What will come and spark my Muse;
Life's a puzzle with few clues.
Events move fast, I must keep track
If I hesitate then it's old hat!
Should I write sequels to past odes
Or strike out daily down new roads?
Politics – many shades of grey
Better firmly perched on fence to stay
But the seasons' ever-changing views
Are a constant joy beyond the News.
It's challenging; I meditate
What will the Powers-that-Be dictate?
Isn't Poetry «So-Yesterday»?
Yet Readers log on – every day!
