A pale green haze clothes topmost branches!
Nature’s
dressing up enhances
Horizons spied
from window view
Chlorophyll is
breaking through!
Though timid, seedlings
bob their heads
Warm April means
full steam ahead;
Will beans clamber
up the staves?
I hope so, if
the sun behaves!
Morning mists
give way to blue
Dandelions say “Howdy
do!"
Commune workers
tame rough hedges;
Added sunlight helps
wee veggies.
Here, on all
sides, Nature thrives!
It’s wake-up time
in nearby hives
Just a stone’s
throw from my home;
Ants and caterpillars
roam…
The thrill of Spring
invades my heart
Joy reigns where lock-down has no part
In total freedom,
plants en masse
Crowd our byways
as we pass!
