R.I.P. Christopher Plummer (1929-2021)

The Sound of Music fades away

What a memorable screenplay!

Julie Andrews, his co-star

His wedded nun, his kids' new Ma …

Looks back with fondness on Von Trapp;

Christopher Plummer had the knack

Of charming all who caught his gaze

What a proud Wellington he plays!

Suave, polished, cultured, statuesque

A decided cut above the rest

Toronto-born, ace act on stage

Oozing charm on every page,

Has gently bowed out from our lives;

At Ninety-One: shock, sad surprise

But caught on film, for our delight

We can his memory hold tight!

A Plummer quote: Most of my life I have played a lot of famous people but most of them were dead so you have a poetic licence.

Died February 5th, 2021
