Heat up your frying pans again!
Eggs and flour and fat are needed
All diets should be superseded!
Before Ash Wednesday, start of Lent,
Many are those who are Hell-bent
To indulge in pancakes freshly made
So cafés do a roaring trade.
The fillings can be what you will
Chocolate seems to top the bill
But lemon and sugar are so good;
And yes - we eat more than we should!
