World Hugging Day

Computers make us more connected
But human contact is neglected
We struggle now to find our place
'Remotely' in this new rat race...

What happened to the human touch?
The warmth of friendship, missed so much
As loneliness is on the rise;
Coincidence? Today's surprise:

Jan 21 is «Hugging Day»
In Michigan dreamed up, they say
In '86; it seems to me
A touch of serendipity!

As in Jan it's often cold
Perhaps we really should be bold
And show our friends we really care
By hugging them like cuddly bear!
