Glowing Autumn

The nights are drawing in so fast
It's double-duvet time at last
There's a chilly “nip” back in the air
Like animals, we seek our lair...

Lazy Sundays - under sheets
Recovering from busy weeks
A stroll in Autumn afternoon
Where gentle sunshine lifts the gloom...

Sandals shelved, now boots and shoes
A wealth of snug, warm scarves to choose
They add a brightness to our day
As much-loved summer fades away.

Bold flower boxes catch my eye
They bloom regardless, do not die
Their vibrant colour warms my heart
Nature's lanterns in the dark!
