The perception of time is a personal thing
It is slow when you hope for your mobile to ring
It extends to an age when you wait to go in
A cinema, loo or home bound on the Ring.
The converse is true when you’re out for a meal
With someone you care for, fast spins the wheel
Does Old Father Time sense the love that you feel?
A whirlwind romance – so well said and so real!
For an athlete who’s running, a second is long
It can make all the difference to getting a gong
For a loved one who’s dying, the minutes wear on
One’s mood changes tempo, each has his own song.
